Meet The Team

Donald Beckwith

Jeremy Hartlaub, Owner

Why I'm in this business:

In short, I enjoy helping people and solving problems.

I've been mechanically inclined since I was a child; I always enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together to see how they work. This curiosity is something I still carry with me today. Working in the air conditioning field gives me the ability to solve mechanical problems and help people at the same time. My employees and I put a great amount of effort into our training and doing things correctly. I get a lot of satisfaction knowing that when a job is completed by J&J Air, it's done right and our customers are happy.

When I'm not fixing air conditioners I like to fix things around the house and for friends, but I'm not always working! I volunteer with my church, enjoy the beach, mountain biking, spending time with my family and skiing in the winter.

I have been in the air conditioning trade since I was 17 yrs old. I started working for a friend's company in Maryland as a helper and continued on from there. I started J&J Air in 2001 and it has grown from a two man, one truck operation to the awesome company it is today!

I hold the following degrees/certifications:
  • BS in Economics
  • SC Mechanical Contractor, Class IV
  • NC Mechanical Contractor, Unlimited residential and commercial
  • NATE certified in Heat Pump and A/C service and installation
  • NATE/IGSHPA certified in Geothermal loop design and installation
  • NBI certified residential and light commercial Air Balancing and Diagnostic Technician
  • BPI certified as a Building Analyst Professional
  • Factory trained Trane and Waterfurnace technician

Why I'm in this business:

I came to work for J & J because of the customer satisfaction ratings our company consistently earns. I actually hired J & J air several years ago to work on my home and have kept in touch ever since. There is no shortage of HVAC contractors in the area, but having an honest, professional approach makes all the difference in the world to me! Almost everyone needs HVAC work done at some point, and I'm proud to be able to offer a superior service from fantastic team.

When I'm not helping customers, I spend my time fishing and enjoying the outdoors whenever possible. The last 3 years have been a lot of fun for my wife and I raising my son and doing all the things we love to do as a family.

I started my career path in sales in the boat business in South Florida, and built a momentum that allowed me to move into financing, managing the service department, and later to managing the dealerships. I've always put my customers' needs at the forefront of any decision, and doing right by the customer has never led me in the wrong direction.
